C.H. Norton's Variety Show A Big Success

posted Feb 24, 2017, 10:01 AM by Rob Brown
On Friday, February 17th, C. H. Norton had a fantastic Variety Show involving students in grades 4-8. All students from JK to grade 8 were invited to enjoy the show. This special event was the result of a Grade 8 French project presented by Mikayla McBain. Every grade eight student chose a cause that they were passionate about like Autism, Cancer, Alzheimer's, Heart and Stroke, Diabetes, homelessness, etc., and they found a way that they could raise awareness and funds to help. Mikayla wanted to help individuals struggling with cancer and cancer research. She felt that a great way to do this would be to orchestrate a talent show and raise awareness. Mikayla and class 8-2 asked that a voluntary donation of a loonie or a toonie be donated for the Canadian Cancer Society. We not only showcased some interesting interests, talents and passions on stage but we also collected
$468.05.

C. H. Norton sure knows how to make a difference...and have fun!
