CH Norton - February 1, 2017

Last Week, students from several classes encouraged all CH Norton students to “Get Connected” to the world beyond their classrooms with an engaging assembly featuring songs, poems, and stories. Ms. Shutt’s Grade 2 and Mr. Penrose’s Grade 3 classes performed the song “Imagine the Impossible” while Mrs. Acheson’s Grade 2/3 class read an acrostic poem featuring an important message for each of the letters in G-E-T C-O-N-N-E-C-T-E-D. Finally, Mrs. Morris’ Grade 3/4 class created a dramatic performance of the story Butterfly Park. Combined, all students at CH Norton have been encouraged to “Get Connected” with the world beyond their classrooms whether it’s within the larger school, their community, or the wider world. Students were also encouraged to be positive role models within those different communities and to always consider how they and everyone are connected to nature and the environment. Great job Grade 2’s, 3’s, and 4’s and thank you to each teacher for organizing the assembly. So, come on CH - GET CONNECTED!!!
