Thank you to the C.H. Norton Diversity Team for a wonderful assembly on Dec. 19th celebrating Diversity at C.H. Norton. As part of this assembly Mrs. Knapp shared her experience with her recently registered charity SOCKS Canada. A number of years ago Mrs. Knapp and her husband traveled to Kenya. Mrs. Knapp, a retired teacher and grandparent of C.H. Norton students, was overwhelmed with the needs she witnessed while visiting some of the orphanages in Kenya. Upon her return, she started SOCKS, with the aim of supporting these children with clothing and other items to meet their basic needs. In March Mrs. Knapp will be traveling back to Kenya for the seventh time and will be taking 800 pounds of clothing.
