Thanks For SupportingMany thanks to our awesome families in the Norton community who helped support our food drive. Some of our Me to We student leaders and their families collected cans for the Salvation Army on Halloween as well. It was a week long food drive and as you can see in the picture of Miss Denomey’s incredibly class, C. H. Norton sure knows how to make a difference! We completely filled a van with non-perishable food items for individuals in our community. Bravo!!! To see the picture click on the link.

Character TraitsThis year at C.H. Norton we are focusing on monthly Character Traits. Teams of students and staff have signed up to lead our learning around each monthly theme that is representative of one of these traits. One of the activities the team does is to create a bulletin board in the front entrance way that advertises the Character Trait for the month. They also lead us through a culminating assembly at the end of each month where we come together as a learning community to share our learning related to each Character Trait. Do you know someone who goes above and beyond to support students in the Halton District School Board? The INSPIRE Awards have been created to recognize them. Inspiration can come from a diverse range of actions. Anyone in the HDSB community can nominate or be nominated – families, neighbours, related organizations, staff, students, and school volunteers.
